第十七世大寶法王嘉華噶瑪巴泰耶多傑，對在阿富汗首都喀布爾舉行的婚禮上發生炸彈爆炸有以下信息：

親愛的法友

在阿富汗喀布爾的一場婚禮上發生了炸彈攻擊，造成63人死亡和180多人受傷。 

當我們聽到這樣可怕的事情時，我們可能感覺我們對其人民或文化沒有真正認識或沒有任何關聯，我們可能會與受影響的人在精神上有距離感。

作為佛教徒，我們修持的是智慧與慈悲。這種慈悲是無限的，這種慈悲是遍及一切眾生，我們實踐的並不是只給予部分慈悲，或有地理和其他界限的區分。當我們為所有眾生的利益祈禱時，意思就是所有的眾生。

因此，讓我們為受此事件影響的所有人，以及所有在我們這個世界遭受苦難的人祈禱。

Following a bomb blast at a wedding in the Afghan capital Kabul, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, shares the following message:

Dear dharma friends

A bomb that exploded at a wedding in Kabul, Afghanistan, killed 63 people and injured more than 180 people. 

When we hear about such terrible incidents, in places that we may feel we have no real understanding of, or connection with its people or culture, we may feel a sense of spiritual distance from those affected.  

As Buddhists, our practice is one of wisdom and compassion. This compassion is limitless. This compassion is universal. Our practice leaves no room for partial compassion, or compassion with geographical or other boundaries. When we pray for the benefit for all sentient beings, this means exactly that: all sentient beings. 

Let us pray for all those affected by this incident, and for all those who suffer in our world.
