大寶法王誕辰長壽祈福法會 (5月6日)

各位師兄:

5月6日大寶法王誕辰長壽祈福法會安排如下。

雖然這幾天疫情暫告穩定,但是我們仍需小心,不可鬆懈。

當天法會只由上師們舉行,在下午2:00 開始唸誦十六羅漢。

歡迎師兄們預約時間前來法王的寶座頂禮及獻上哈達表示摯誠的祝福。

(2)隨到即行禮及獻哈達,不停留。

需要有人來指導我們 / 拒絕接受無常,會造成焦慮、困惑和痛苦

 


當真正坐下來時要告訴自己,如「自性本來清淨」,可能會很困難,儘管我們可以在沒有給情緒打攘的時候,能與此實相聯繫起來。 如果當我們處於危機之中,並且對自己產生懷疑時,很難接受這些真理,這就是一個明確的信號,表示我們確實需要有人來指導我們,向我們展示和教導我們。

To really sit down and tell ourselves things, such as, ‘I am inherently pure and decent,’ can be difficult – although we can relate to these truths during unemotional moments. If we have a hard time accepting these truths, when we are in crisis and have doubt in ourselves, then this is a clear sign that we do need someone to guide us; someone to show us; someone to teach us.

If you look at a clock and ask it to stop, or ‘hang on for a minute’, it will just keep ticking from one millisecond to another. Whatever you ask of the clock, it will not stop, not even for a moment. Time
is unstoppable, it is inevitable. And so it is with impermanence. In the end, the more we choose to somehow push this fact aside – the reality of change – the more we will experience the pressure of a
deadline, the pressure of time being taken from us without the power to do anything about it. As a result, anxiety, confusion and dukkha arises.

I think that is how Buddha basically saw or experienced the way in which the so-called samsaric life
functions. The samsaric aspect of our lives starts to occur from the moment we push aside this
inevitable truth. We try all sorts of things to somehow forget the fact of impermanence.

如果我的孩子很頑皮,我可以打他嗎?
總有善巧的方法來教導孩子,但有時候打屁股是需要的,哈哈!根據佛法,只要你不生氣且懷著善意的打屁股是可以的。祝好運!

If my child is naughty can I spank him?
There are always skilful methods to teach a child but a spanking is needed sometimes haha” as long as you are not spanking with anger but with good intentions is ok according to dharma. Good Luck!

當我們呼吸時,如果我們說吸氣就是生命,那麼當我們吸氣時,我們就是這樣子。
 
當我們呼吸時,如果我們說呼氣就是死亡,那麼當我們呼氣時,我們就是這樣子。
 
但是,只因為呼氣就是死亡,並不等於我們應該停止呼氣。
 
這種恐懼本身是不自然的。
 
當我們呼氣並放下生命時,它又會回來。
 
死亡似乎是最終的,但正如深長的吸氣,就會有深長的呼氣一樣,別無其他。
 
呼與吸都是相互依存的。
 
它們一直都是。
 
因此,沒有永恆的東西。
 
我們自然的身心無需任何外在東西的介入,也會明瞭這一點。
 
這就是我們的英雄、醫生和護士,以及整個醫療機構,怎樣能夠照料所有病患者。
 
當然,他們有恐懼和驚慌,他們是神智清醒的。
 
但是,當他們找到一種接受現實的方式,即是接受變化時,他們的勇氣和愛能超越恐慌和恐懼,和他們只有一個焦點,就是克盡職守照顧任何發生在病患者身上的事情。
 
親愛的,請好好的呼吸。
 
呼吸。
 
毫無恐懼地呼吸。

Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, shares the following meditation:
 
As we breathe, if we say that inhaling is life, then as we inhale we are doing just that.
 
As we breathe, if we say that exhaling is death, then as we exhale we are doing just that.
 
But just because exhaling is death, it doesn’t mean that we should stop exhaling.
 
That act of panic itself would be unnatural.
 
As we breathe out and let go of life, it comes back.
 
Death might seem final, but just as there are long inhalations, there are long exhalations, and there is nothing else.
 
Both the aspects of breathing are interdependent.
 
They always were.
 
So there is nothing permanent.
 
Our natural body and mind knows this without any external input.
 
That’s how our heroes, the doctors and nurses, and the whole medical establishment, are able to care for all the patients.
 
 
But when they find a way to accept reality – which is change – their courage and their love take over their panic and fear, and with only one focus they go with the flow of what’s happening to the patients and do what they can.
 
Sure, they have fear and panic: they are sane.

So kindly breathe, my dear ones.
 
Breathe.
 
Breathe without fear.

如果家人往生怎麼辦? 

這是一個非常重要的問題。 我們應該為亡者作49天的佛事。經典記載,從死亡到第49天,每7天神識會昏過去然後醒來,在醒來的期間,神識是最清醒而且純淨的。 因此,讓家庭成員認識到這一點是很重要,並且要累積功德、祈禱、念誦咒語和作回向。

What to do if family member pass away ? 

This is a very important question. we should preform rituals for the 49th day. It is believed that every 7 day from the death until the 49 day the mind somehow blacks out and wakes up again and during that time the mind most awakened and pure. so it is important for family members to be aware of this and to accumulate merits, pray, recite mantras and make dedications.

第17世大寶法王嘉華噶瑪巴泰耶多傑,就2019冠狀病毒(COVID-19)的傳播,對噶瑪噶舉傳承所有喇嘛、僧伽和在家修行者分享以下訊息。

親愛的、尊敬的噶瑪噶舉傳承喇嘛、僧伽以及在家修行者,

2019冠狀病毒(COVID-19)繼續在世界各地傳播。

因此,我們所有人都應該無需緊張或驚慌,採取所有必要的預防和防範措施。

我認為疾病的核心是,我們對疾病充滿焦慮的心態,和錯誤地認為我們永遠都不會生病或死亡。

為了避免這種恐懼和誤解,時常思惟四法印是非常重要。 我鼓勵大家牢記這點於心。

Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, shares the following letter for all lamas, sangha members and lay practitioners of the Karma Kagyu lineage, in relation to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

‘Dear respected lamas, tulkus, sangha members, and lay practitioners of the Karma Kagyu lineage
The coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread all over the world.

Therefore, we should all – without nervousness or panic – take all required precautions and preventive actions.

Having said that, the core sickness is, in my opinion, both a mind filled with anxiety about the disease, and a tendency to wrongly think that we should never become sick or die.

In order to avoid such fear and misconception, it is very important to continually contemplate the Four Great Seals. I would like to encourage all of you to take this advice to heart.

On my part, I am constantly praying to the Three Jewels and the Dharma protectors, and offering my best aspirations for the wellbeing of sentient beings.

要修行成就其實很簡單

「要修行成就其實很簡單」                                                     作者:賴成蔭

佛陀的一個弟子,智力有限,記憶力不强,學什麼法都記不住,做不到。他是道場負責打掃的,每天由早到晚拿著掃帚不停的到處清潔地方。佛陀就教他只須心唸「掃帚」這兩個字便可以了;久而久之,他無論行住坐臥都心唸「掃帚、掃帚、掃帚……」,終於成就為阿羅漢!

其實修行就是修心,亦即是念力。心力強便可以發放正能量,藉此可以和諸佛菩薩上師護法作心靈溝通、累積福德、更重要的是可以有很强的願力去幫助成就衆生!

要修行成就必須先選擇一個法門,乃至幾個法門來修。那選什麼法門才合適呢?眾生的習性往往覺得愈是複雜細緻、愈是高難度的東西效果必然愈勁!什至以為愈多法門的修習,乃至「十項全能」,可以產生協同效應,成就必然愈大!

但其實修心的法門應是選擇對自已來說最適合的法門才容易成就的。那就是愈簡單、容易、舒服、開心的法門了!

為何這樣選擇?就是因為要修行成就的兩個秘訣和這個有莫大的関係!

要修行成就的兩個秘訣:

1. 「放鬆身心」: 這是修行成就的入門檻,如果你未能做到身心放鬆,那修什麼也是枉然!因為根本不可能到達「靜」、「興安」、「定」、乃至「觀照」的境界的!

而最能令你放鬆身心的就是修行時感到簡單容易舒服自在。

說到這裡,大家可能明白到為何我説不必挑深奧、煩瑣、複雜、困難的法門來修了;因為這個會弄得你很緊張苦惱,又何能放鬆呢?

例如打坐: 若要分分鐘專注於「七支坐法」的種種標準坐姿要求,什至要求苦練「雙盤」膝坐法,可能已令到你苦不堪言,更何來放鬆,繼而進入「興安」境界呢?

事實上,打坐的坐姿可以各適其適,只須腰垂直和舌舐上顎便是了。若能做到這兩點,即使是臥著修禪定,仍是可以成就的!

此外,很多人喜歡執著於「如法不如法」的問題,往往說人家「不如法」,即暗示其修行沒有效果,白費心機!若你太注意這個,則在修法時會戰戰競競,瞻前顧後,很難放鬆自如了!

2. 「持之以恆」:要修行成就並不在乎於簡單抑複雜,不在乎於每日修持時間的多寡長短,最最関鍵是必須天天持續不斷,這樣才可以把成果累積。若是斷斷續續,效果極微,可說是白費心機!

所謂水滴石穿,若你能持之以恆的天天修習同一個法,修上十年,必然成就!

如何知道自己已然成就?看看自己的願力有多强便知道了!

回應上面所說:如果你修的法愈是簡單容易舒服開心,則持之以恒的去修習應該不難做到吧!反之,複雜煩瑣困難的法就很難持久!

更可笑的是: 人的心態往往是貪多騖得,學完一個大法又去求另一個大法………

最後,套用一句老話作結:

「複雜的事簡單做,簡單的事用心做,天天重覆用心做簡單的事,就很不簡單了!」

發生騷亂時該怎麼辦,我應該報警嗎? 

我們的問題往往是,當事情正在發生時,尤其是如此大的事情,我們總是被正在發生的東西所牽動,而忘記了我們正在做著什麼,和被一種想法糾纏。報警可能是被認為最合理要做的事情,但這之後又怎樣?你還仍然會繼續糾纏在事情不應該是這樣子的一種想法,並且只會不斷深化,我們應該做的是轉心四思惟:人身難得,生命無常,因果業報,輪回過患。這樣,我們可以得到不一樣的看法,能正面積極並繼續我們的精神道路。

What to do when there are riots, should I call the police? 

The problem with people is that when there is something going on, especially this big, we always tend to be drawn to what’s happening and forget what we are doing and get sucked into a different mindset. Calling the police might be the most common sense thing to do but what then? Your mindset still continues where it’s not supposed to be and only grows, what we should do is to reflect on the Four Thoughts, Precious Human Body, Impermanence, Karma and The Sufferings of Samsara. From this we can get a different perspective, create positiveness and continue with our spiritual path.

Following the news that the Karmapa Public Course was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa will give a special broadcast teaching on the practice of Chenresig, on Sunday 15 March, at 3pm local Indian time.
有消息稱,由於冠狀病毒(COVID-19)導致大寶法王公開課程被取消後,聖陛下第十七世大寶法王嘉華噶瑪巴泰耶多傑將在3月15日星期日於當地印度時間下午3點進行有關觀世音菩薩修持的特別廣播教學 。

In the announcement regarding the cancellation of the annual course, Karmapa said,
在關於取消年度課程的公告中,大寶法王說:

‘I appeal to all practitioners and devotees to pray one-pointedly to the noble Chenresig, and accumulate the fasting practice of Nyungne. This will be of benefit here and now, as well as in future lives.’
「我呼籲所有修行者和信眾專注地向聖觀世音菩薩祈請,並積累紐涅的禁食修持。 這將在此時此地及未來世中受益。」

我知道在這過去的幾個月,很多人都飽受身心的煎熬,大家必須堅强起來!這些艱難的日子,正是令大家更能聰穎和活用禪修的智慧,去體驗種種發生在自己身邊的事物。不要受情緒的影響而走向錯誤方向。

請大家保持對負面情緒的警剔,還有清明心和覺察心。最後祝大家安好!

We putting our Body, Speech and Mind towards the practice as one will definitely make a matter, a cause, an effect and many merits. I know that many people are struggling these days, work wise and also mental wise because of what’s been happening to Hong Kong for the past many months. Please be strong everyone! These hard times are the time when we have to be wise and use our spiritual knowledge to understand things happening around us and not to adapt ourselves with the emotions and head to the wrong direction. Be Vigilant with your emotions, Be Mindful and have Awareness and lastly please stay safe everyone.
